      a jumbo jet proudly circling directly above us,
      easily pokes through a cloud so big it blocks out the sun

      make our way to any end of the earth at our own pace…’
      stopped in front of a wall, I tell myself myself over and over
      I envision you, and the image of a single ray of light
      shooting through a break in the clouds.

      it hurts to throw something away,
      the cake I leave for later,
      in the end I’ll let it go bad and throw it away anyway.
      I know, it’s got a shelf life, generally speaking,
      so does everything, so, what the hell’s eternity for?
      surely we’re being tested,
      as to how much strength it will take to believe in the future…
