a picture on the wall depicts my memories of two or three days ago
and standing beside me, I’m pretty sure, was you

the old lady on the second floor suffers,
offering me her filthied hands
you open up your bag and remove a pink glass ball
which you give to her with a smile.

what was that? It must be trying to tell me something
maybe it was a metaphor?
give me one too, imbued with your pink

from this strange dream,
we peek out
we appear a little better than we do in real life
I’m going to gouge out this feeling
from the back of my throat
come to the night I pull by the hand.

the naked woman sleeping next to me
tosses and turns sullenly
I don’t know why but,
I think maybe she’s unsatisfied with me

today there’s a full moon,
from outside I can hear a scream
could it be crying?
nope, it’s a satisfied moan, no doubt

today, with things laid bare, seems a little yellower
than yesterday, when we were shy about it.
but the love grows.
