Translator’s Notes: Two key points here.

* 1 – The line “she had the same thing as I do” means “she was a he!” then
the next line about not wanting to take her home, means though he was fed
up, he didn’t reject her !

* 2 – the line “come over after calling” refers to a new “story” in which
a woman passes the singer a duplicate key to her apartment but because
he’s afraid of what the media will think of their affair, he ends up just
locking it up without ever using it.
